This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator or recent Graduate to learn and develop within a small supportive team for a rapidly growing company within the Hospitality industry.
The successful HR Assistant will report into the HR and Payroll Manager to provide efficient and professional administrative support to the HR and Payroll department, initially on a 6 month temporary basis with the potential to permanent for the right person.
Key responsibilities include:
Create all new starter paper work
Ensure the receipt of signed contracts and proof of right to work in the UK,
Support Administrators on the new starter and leaver processes and compliance
Collate, record and monitor New Starters trackers
Maintain appropriate employee paper and electronic employee files
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as and when required
Ensure all new starters have submitted necessary details to support Payroll requirements
Create and distribute all payroll contractual change letters; for example, salary changes, job title changes, employee detail changes
Distribute P45's to leavers
Respond professionally to HR and Payroll queries from staff at all levels
Experience and Skills
HR admin and payroll experience OR a strong administration experience through work or study
Previous experience within Retail or Hospitality is preferable
Strong IT skills, proficient user of Microsoft programs
Enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, quick to learn and able to multi-task
Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to plan and prioritise
Self-motivated team player, also able to work independently and proactively
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work delivered
Good problem solving and decision-making skills
Able to work at a fast pace and flexible with hours in peak periods of work
Good sense of humour!
