A large utilities business based in Hertfordshire require an experienced HR advisor to join them on an initial 3 month period, due to some movement internally. Joining a team of 10, this role will act as a trusted partner to the customer relations team, to deliver the people strategy and ensure the business are fully engaged.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline

  • Collaborate with wider HR teams to ensure integrated delivery of people strategy

  • Coaching of line managers on effective people management skills

  • Assist in implementing long-term change initiatives aligned with agenda

  • Managing ER cases including grievances and disciplinaries

  • Working on adhoc HR projects

  • Collating data to measure effectiveness of initiatives and reporting back

  • Travel to operational sites when needed to proactively engage

  • Be an ambassador of the HR team


  • Previous HR advisory experience

  • CIPD or equivalent is desirable

  • Ability to work with a high volume work load

  • Ability to identify business vs people needs

  • Experience working on HR projects

  • Understand the importance of data

As this role is a short term contract, you must be available immediately or on short notice to be considered.
