Interim HR Business Partner - Investments & Risk

An Investment Management firm are currently looking to hire an interim HR Business Partner to support their client groups across Investments, Ops Risk & Investment Risk.

Supporting the Lead HRBP on a specific client group and working with line managers and leaders client group(s) within the Asset Management business, you will deliver an end to end advisory and execution HR service. Responsible for the delivery of day to day administrative support to staff, this role will focus on providing a seamless service to line managers in delivering core HR process, including but not limited to:

  • Resourcing and Talent Management
  • Performance Appraisal
  • Reward
  • Employee Relations
  • Change Management

The role will support the Lead HR Business Partner in delivering high quality advice and support to leaders and managers based in the EMEA region but within a functional business model.

Role Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

  • Work with HR colleagues to support approximately 750 people in a specific client group(s) within Asset Management
  • Act as first point of contact for your clients within EMEA region and liaise closely with US HR colleagues to ensure alignment as a global functional business area
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, attaining "trusted advisor" status;
  • Work with the Lead HR Business Partner and HR Centres of Excellence on providing sound advice to the client group, geared to deliver solutions which are commercial, pragmatic and risk managed.

Resourcing

  • Facilitate management of headcount and hire-plan to agreed budgets
  • Work with Hiring Managers and the Resourcing Team to effectively and efficiently source high quality talent through recruitment best practice, from intake meeting through to decision and approvals execution
  • Provide oversight and control of hiring administration
  • Provide guidance to line managers of new hires in relation to induction and onboarding

Talent Management & Development

  • Support and co-ordinate the process for the Lead HRBP to work with leaders to identify talent / high potential employees
  • Liaise with Talent team on learning matters to provide advice and guidance on employee's BAU training needs, CPD, professional qualifications and mandatory training queries
  • Advise managers and employees on mobility and international transfer issues as required

Employee Relations

  • Working with the ER Manager and HR Advisers, ensure the provision of advice and support to Managers in order to resolve employee relations issues, escalating to the Lead HR Business Partner as appropriate
  • Work with the Lead HR Business Partner and ER Manager to ensure positive employee relations and adherence to Firm policies and Code of Conduct
  • Effective case management and accurate record keeping for monitoring and reporting purposes

Performance Appraisal

  • Support employees and managers through the evaluation process, providing guidance on using TMS and advising on preparing for and carrying out appraisal discussions
  • Guide client groups through successful delivery of the annual Performance Appraisal process, and support Lead HRBP in preparing for the consistency process and following up on outcomes

Reward

  • Collaborate with the Reward team to ensure integrity of data
  • Support job matching and input for external salary surveys
  • Ensure general understanding by managers and staff of the Firm's compensation philosophy and practices
  • Work with HR colleagues (globally) and Managers throughout the annual Salary and Incentive review process

Data Management

  • Active management of HR information
  • Keeping data up to date
  • Regular audit and data cleansing

Regulation and Compliance

  • Observe and promote adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements in an increasingly regulated environment

Ad-hoc Projects

  • Assist the Lead HR Business Partner in supporting Managers in leading teams through periods of transformation and organisation change
  • Take up projects in support of wider HR agenda, collaborating across teams as required

  • Team-working and collaboration with experience working in a matrix organisation - regional and functional business operating model

Desirable:

  • Asset Management experience
  • Experience in a matrix environment
