Are you ready for a new challenge in late 2018? Are you a strongly commercial People Director interested in a 10-month assignment in one of the telco sector's key disruptors? If so, read on.
Our North West based client is the sector's leading value provider and is on a transformational journey to streamline and simplify its operations (and to do so at pace whilst growing its business)! It employs c 2,000 people.
We are recruiting someone to cover the maternity leave of its People Director who plans to return to the business in October 2019. This is not a BAU role in anyway, this is a critical role, reporting into the Chief People Officer and broadly speaking, with two key areas of responsibility and delivery.
Firstly, you will lead a high performing business partnering team to support the business units to deliver both the company wide and local people strategies. The HRBP team is split between Manchester and London so there will be some requirement to travel although the role is firmly North West based.
Additionally, you will lead the organisational effectiveness agenda to ensure that the business evolves to become increasingly efficient, agile and aligned to its value player positioning.
The interim candidates we are interested in hearing from are likely to be experienced professionals with a strong track record of hitting the ground running and delivery. You will be a highly values driven individual who is comfortable with significant levels of accountability and can make decisions on the go!. Whilst operating at the strategic level is a given, so is rolling up one's sleeves and getting involved in delivering multiple initiatives. This is not a culture for egos and stand-out execution is a must.
The business is a well-known UK brand, with a positive culture. Cultural fit with the company's value-set, the senior leadership team and Chief People Officer is vital.
Sector experience is not essential. What is important is that you have experience of leading and coaching a team of HRBPs as well as a proven track record in organisational effectiveness and transformation. You will demonstrate you have worked in fast-paced changing organisations where quickly gaining trust from senior stakeholders is a pre-requisite for success.
In addition, and as the successful candidate will effectively be the right-hand person of the CPO you will have the opportunity to play a broader role in the continued growth and development of this vibrant people centred business .
So, what will the organisation offer in return?
This is going to be a high-profile, challenging yet ultimately satisfying assignment. You'll be working with a well-regarded UK brand with a quality senior leadership team who are clear about their strategy and who are being led by an inspiring and industry respected CEO.
Quite simply it's a gem of a North West based opportunity and one we know you'll enjoy!
