Head of Apprenticeships

Our client is a FTSE 250 business and a leading provider of Services in the UK with a growing international presence. The role of Head of Apprenticeships is a pivotal role, for an ambitious individual to formulate and deliver the apprenticeship strategy for the Group, ensuring high quality apprenticeship programmes are being delivered and alignment across all operating companies achieved, which links to progressive skills development, retention of talent and improved customer experience.

Reporting to the Group People Director, the Head of Apprenticeships will work in partnership with the operating companies through effective communication and influencing, to evaluate and govern all aspects of apprenticeship provision, whilst being accountable for the management and monitoring of all apprenticeship levy funding.

As a member of the HR leadership team, you will support the delivery of all elements of the strategic and operational Apprenticeship agenda, evaluating and demonstrating the value to the business of apprenticeships. Your role will primarily be a central co-ordination role; effectively working with and engaging leaders in the Operating companies on all aspects of the apprenticeship strategy as well as ensuring all apprenticeship policies, procedures and quality monitoring plans are in place and fit for purpose. You will also play a key role in the implementation of an appropriate apprenticeships IT system and manage relationships with key apprenticeship bodies.

To be considered for this role, you will have an in-depth knowledge of Apprenticeships and government funded provision as well experience of, internal and external assessment, standardisation and verification processes. An effective communicator with strong relationship building skills, the successful incumbent will also be able to demonstrate success in improving and raising the quality of apprenticeship provision in previous matrix organisations. The ability to deliver and identify continuous improvement to improve the apprenticeship experience and achieve sustainable results will also be required.  Supported by the Group People Director, this role offers an ambitious, tenacious individual the next step in their HR career.
