HR Manager (3 days)

The Oakleaf Partnership are seeking an HR Manager who is looking for a job share. We are working with a leading independent asset management company base near Green Park, London. The individual will support the Head of HR in the day to day HR operational running of the London office, whilst working closely with senior managers and department heads on senior recruitment hires, employee relations issues and other tasks and projects assigned by the Head of HR. This individual will also be responsible for all areas of HR generalist support within the London office to the following business areas: Quantitative Analysis, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Operational Due Diligence, Fixed Income, Investment Administration, Data Services, Internal Audit, Operational Services and Information Technology.

Employee Relations

Advise and coach managers on a wide variety of staff issues including; grievance, disciplinary, sickness, absence management and performance management. Be competent in managing a variety of sensitive issues ensuring a best practice approach is maintained through-out

Advise and coach senior managers/department heads, in restructure and redundancy proposals; Manage the process end to end for senior individuals and large redundancy proposals in partnership with the team, including; pooling, selection assessments, consultation and redundancy packages, when necessary

Manage and support staff on Long Term Absence, including; arranging Occupational Health Assessments, Group Income Protection applications and home visits when necessary

In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensure any legislation or company changes are accurately updated within HR London policies

Where appropriate liaise with the company's external lawyers for guidance and clarity on best practice approach

Recruitment

Work closely with senior managers/department heads on senior recruitment hires, predominantly in the form of retained searches. Including negotiating competitive terms, fee structures, compensation packages and conducting interviews where necessary

Liaise with managers through-out the entire recruitment process for all levels of the business, including; outlining role justification, ensuring headcount approval, briefing agencies/head-hunters, reviewing CV's and providing feedback and undertaking interviews

Ensure agencies adhere to the terms outlined in their signed Service Level Agreements. Ensure terms and conditions are agreed with any new agencies prior to use and ensure reviews are completed where necessary

Temporary Staff/IT Contractors - Ensure appropriate approval and liaise with agencies. Undertake permanent & temporary new joiner inductions

Compensation

Assist the London Compensation team in the annual compensation review (Sept - Feb)

Ensure the compensation data and letters are accurate and distributed to management appropriately

General

Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of HR. This could include: succession planning, talent management, regulatory changes (Gender Pay Gap, SMCR) and TUPE
