Are you an experienced HR Manager with good exposure on harmonisation and HRIS implementation? My client is a growing education body and they are now looking for an experienced HR Manager to come on board and run the end to end HR function. You will be responsible for overseeing the HR function both strategically and operationally in all people related matters. Having just entered into a Shared Service model, they now need someone who can led both the HR and Payroll teams and be responsible for the effective delivery of the HR strategy.
You will provide pragmatic HR guidance and support to the business based on policies and HR best practice whilst understanding and communicating any commercial risks and / or benefits of proposed action.
It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of HR best practice, employment law and it is key you are comfortable with complex ER issues. You will need to ensure compliance across areas such as DBS checking, immigration or work permits.
You will manage the process for staff recruitment and selection and also the process of grading new posts in line with the Trust Evaluation Scheme.
Previous management experience is key as you will be responsible for a team of 3 and so you will be involved in monitoring team performance, ensuring quality and strong levels of service are maintained.
As they have just moved into a new model and there is a number of different business you must have worked in a role where you have harmonised contracts and also you will need to be capable of leading the implementation of a new HRIS system.
HR Manager - The Person
·Ideally CIPD membership or equivalent HR qualification
·Essential that you have excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and its application.
·A strong communicator with the ability to build productive working relationships
·Experience of Employee Relations across a unionised environment would be advantageous but not essential.
·Proven background in HR system implementation.
·Ability to work with people in all areas of the business
·Advanced level of MS office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
