An international Law firm are looking for an HR Business Partner based in The City. This role will ensure a high level of business partnering and responsibilities will include (but no be limited to):

  • Building relationships with Partners, Directors and others

  • Providing a high level of business partnering in line with the strategic goals of the firm

  • Taking the lead and acting as the subject expert in all HR matters

  • Coaching and mentoring HR Advisors

  • Managing key strategic projects and supporting strategic initiatives across the team

  • Considering new initiatives in order to improve efficiencies within team and wider firm

  • Supervising Advisors and Assistants to ensure all HR processes and paperwork are completed correctly

  • Leading on all aspects of resource planning with Heads of Division including resourcing and recruitment methods and process, defining resource requirements and timelines, succession planning and promotions

  • Briefing the Resourcing team/Advisors in relation to all recruitment needs

  • Promoting brand awareness including recruitment briefings and recruitment events

  • Conducting interviews with senior level recruits where appropriate

  • Managing interview feedback and negotiating offers consistent with pay strategy for senior recruits

  • Taking the lead on complex ER activities

  • Providing guidance to HR Advisors where appropriate on operational ER issues such as absence management, grievance and disciplinary issues, performance management, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave

  • Ensuring MI pack forms part of Business Partnering approach to drive proactive performance management and headcount planning for the future

  • Leading salary review process for the division

  • Providing input into reward strategy

  • Driving annual appraisal process

As the HR Business Partner, you will possess:

  • CIPD qualification

  • Proven Business Partnering to businesses

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience of supervising/mentoring others

  • Ability to work effectively
