International oil & gas firm - Group based HR role - M&A - London
Multi-billion turnover oil and gas group with over 10,000 employees globally across 15 separate business and a decentralised operating model. This firm has grown via acquisition and they have an excellent reputation in their market.
Each business has an Executive Board, CEO and HRD but there is also a Group based HR function which links in with each of these companies. Corporate HR ensures alignment when it makes sense and adds value to the wider Group, i.e. on matters like graduate recruitment and development, remuneration matters, group wide succession planning. Joining Group the HR Lead will offer insight on a diverse range of people matters including providing general support to some of the smaller businesses, M&A matters, relocation, talent development and compensation.
The ideal HR Lead will have an excellent academic track record, with a minimum of a 2.1 degree, and a proven track record of working in a HR Management capacity. Experience in manufacturing or the oil & gas market will be well received and it's essential that you have worked in a multi-national, matrix business. Given the M&A element of this firm you will likely have experience of supporting M&A activities - data room review, integration of benefits post completion. Additional beneficial experience includes international relocation support and compensation led work notably around bench marking for newly acquired businesses. Character wise you will a self-starter, nimble, intelligent and be used to adding real value to your business.
Depending on experience this role will pay between £70,000 and £95,000 and 20%.
