Our Leatherhead based client is going through a period of significant and exciting change, not only in relation to the way in which they work but in determining their goals and missions for the future. In addition to this, they are finding new and creative ways of developing their staff and ensuring they feel valued and committed to the organisation.


They now have a vacancy for a part-time Learning & Development Manager. This is a key role to support the Head of HR to instil a culture of retention, development and engagement in-line with their People Plan. There is therefore a complete blank canvas to set the Learning & Development remit - you will be responsible to develop and implement the strategic training plan to oversee and deliver all internal and external training as well as the induction programmes.


Together with your awareness of HR and your previous experience within learning & development, you have a full working knowledge of providing learning & development services to employees in a multi-site organisation, by using different methods and practices including statutory and regulatory guidance relevant to the business. A natural change agent with the ability to empathise and engage with various stakeholders at all levels, you are proactive and are able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines. Performance driven and results orientated, you are confident in in communicating and influencing at all levels.



What you'll need to succeed

Degree or equivalent
Graduate Membership of the CIPD or equivalent (or working towards) or equivalent experience
Previous experience in HR and L & D, with a full working knowledge of HR practices
Demonstrable experience of delivering multiple L & D projects, strategically and operationally, producing complex documents, reports & data in a meaningful way
Experienced in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating training and projects.
Experience of working with risk assessments and standards
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-disciplined environment where change is complex and demanding
A natural change agent with the ability to empathise and engage with various stakeholders at all levels
Able to operate in a fast changing and ambiguous environment
Coaching, facilitation and presentation skills
Analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Critical thinker, adaptable to responding to changing priorities



What you'll get in return

A base salary of £32,500 - £42,500 (FTE) plus 5% fringe allowance
Hours: 22.5 hours per week. Working pattern is flexible
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an increase upon 5 years of continuous service
