Description



Role of the Reward Consultant in Reading:

Provide managers with insight in to current and potential opportunities and issues arising from research of developments in R&B as well as analysis of data. Recommend appropriate reward outcomes that support business development.

Deliver reward outcomes through management of reward projects, working with the wider HR function as required

Lead the evaluation reviews of approved roles. Act as service delivery co-ordinator for evaluation provider (currently Willis Towers Watson).

Responsible for the day to day management of a portfolio of benefit providers, to ensure they provide the required service and deliver value for money for the company and employees.

Understand the current and future benefit market and pro-actively manage the benefit portfolio, driving the introduction of new benefits where applicable, including taking an active lead in the tender / renewal processes as required.

To lead the communication of benefits within the business, by working with the corporate communications team to develop a comprehensive and creative communication strategy. This will involve working directly with the business doing briefings at team meeting and presenting at business roadshows as well as managing and updating elements of the Reward portal, in order to help drive business awareness and uptake.

Build relationships and networks with professional groups to ensure market trends and competitor data is understood.

Contribute to the HR "knowledge bank" to ensure that learning, opportunities for development and experiences are shared in the wider HR community.

Support the process and delivery of the annual Management Bonus Plan, within the agreed design, to all participants and, at the end of the bonus year, calculate the resulting payment and ensure it is correctly implemented.

Lead the delivery of the end-to-end annual employee pay review processes, including market research, budget proposals, pay modelling, negotiations support & implementation.

Support and coach less experienced colleagues to contribute to the development of the team.

Undertake any other appropriate responsibilities as reasonably required by the Head of Reward, Pensions and IR or the Reward Manager.

Profile

Experience for the Reward Consultant role:



In depth experience in reward and benefits development

Up to date and in depth knowledge of reward and benefits principles

Trained and experienced in job evaluation - WTW Global Grading

Good interpersonal, influencing, relationship building and "team player" skills

Project Management experience

Experience in contract management and working with external providers

CIPD qualified or equivalent

Good Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
