Learning & Development Advisor

An international, City based Insurance Group are recruiting for a Learning & Development Advisor to provide a high quality service across business units in the UK. Experience using a LMS, ideally Cornerstone is highly desirable!

The Learning & Development Advisor will support the Learning and Development L&D Manager in delivering the L&D strategy within agreed timescales and provide a professional, proactive and effective L&D service to all employees across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff about a range of L&D interventions to support delivery of department business plans and personal objectives

  • Ensuring learning events are timely, focused, relevant and provide value for money.

  • Liaising with speakers/facilitators, whether internal or external and providing feedback

  • Providing administrative support for Programmes

  • WNS Liaison

  • Deliver training where required

  • Source and maintain PSL

  • Redesign and maintenance of LMS (Cornerstone)

  • Manage the Apprenticeship Process

  • Manage Coaching requests

  • Programme Management

    • Mentoring Programme

    • Management Programme

  • Draft L&D Comms

  • Run monthly Induction Programme

  • Ad-hoc projects

Essential

  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to influence others

  • Excellent Communications skills (written & spoken)

  • Natural presenter, with a passion for delivery and facilitation of learning

  • Ability to bring new creative learning and development ideas to the table

  • Well organised and flexible with ability to work under pressure, handling competing priorities and responding to matters with urgency

  • Good understanding of L&D practices

  • Experience of working with a variety of internal clients

  • Broad specialist knowledge of L&D trends and good practice

  • Flexibility to evolve with the position as required

  • Experience using LMS (ideally Cornerstone)

Desirable

  • Previous experience of having worked in financial, insurance or professional services preferred but not essential

  • CIPD qualified (or working towards)
