The brand new role of Competency Developer is a fantastic opportunity to shape the workforces’ future skills, developing the training of cutting edge technologies across Jaguar Land Rover.
The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise to optimise the learning opportunities on offer, embracing the most appropriate format for capability growth for each of our employees allowing them to excel in their careers and remain ahead.
You will support our continued business transformation, this role will drive clarity in the underpinning and specialised competencies required for success which are aligned to our Jaguar Land Rover Job Capability Framework. It will contribute to the development and deployment of global policy, process and innovation.
You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and definition of learning solutions for roles associated with Product Engineering, with a particular focus towards trends such as Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared vehicles. In additional you will understand scare skills, and design and implement actions to address shortfalls.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To make this role a success you will need a relevant degree (or equivalent experience), a comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of engineering principles, processes and tools used in product design and development as well as significant experience of working with external providers or educators to create robust solutions which are timely and to budget.
Experience of establishing new learning environments and facilities and of working with Further and Higher Education Providers would be preferred.
If you have knowledge of apprenticeship standards and levels of competency associated with national qualifications it would be a major advantage.
