My client is a leading Media business where people are at the heart of everything they do. It's vital that their workforce reflects the diversity of both our audience and the wider society in the UK.

As a HR Administrator for various news channels you will be responsible for delivering professional and efficient administration and support for your business areas - Technology, Finance, Legal, Comms and HR.

Main responsibilities and duties of the role:

  • Field all queries received to HR main phoneline

  • Respond to all queries to HR email account

  • Produce all people related paperwork (e.g. contracts, staff contractual change letters, family leave, healthcare paperwork etc.)

  • Respond to day-to-day internal and external requests such as authorising security pass requests, responding to reference requests, and speculative CVs amongst other administrative duties

  • Maintain accurate records on HRe (our HR database)

  • Provide timely information to payroll

  • Manage candidate applications through iCIMS and arrange and coordinate interviews

  • Full administration of new starters and leavers

  • Create new starter packs

  • Generate reports from HR database as and when required

  • Manage long service process, ensuring all eligible employees are informed of their entitlement under the scheme

  • Support HR Advisor with sickness absence management and Occupational Health referrals

  • Support Diversity and Inclusion Manager with the organisation of events

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Accurate and exacting standards

  • Communication skills including the ability to communicate in a logical way, to listen and to clearly present information to others

  • High level of competency in the use of MS Office packages

  • Strong numerical skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with staff at all levels

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a demanding environment

  • Approachable, efficient and helpful

  • The ability to prioritise and respond in a timely manner

  • A basic understanding of employment legislation

  • Credible, proactive professional
