A leading global law firm is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join a small team that supports a financial service practice group. Covering a period of sabbatical leave, you will work closely with another HR Manager to support the Head of HR in defining and implementing strategy for the Practice Group, acting as a trusted advisor to the Partners in the group and ensure successful implementation of global HR processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribution to the strategic planning process

  • Implementation of talent and succession plans

  • Facilitation of culture through HR initiatives

  • Advise on HR matters related to the recruitment, development and retention of individuals

  • Identification and proactive resolution of issues/ themes

  • Supporting Partners to deliver effective staff management processes and messages

  • Responsible for the successful execution of the annual review process for fee earners and support staff

  • Ensure that development outcomes arising from reviews are assessed and actioned

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the salary and bonus review process including consultants

  • Input into the client and international secondment planning process

  • Work with the finance team to supply data for the budgeting and resource planning process

  • Agree career breaks, leave and flexible working arrangements

  • Undertake exit interviews, analysing feedback and responding as appropriate.

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of Partner reviews and selection process

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a HR generalist / BP in a corporate, finance, professional services, consultancy or law firm

  • Technical competence in all aspects of employment law, compliance practices and policies

  • Excellent track record of working with senior management within a complex international organization

  • Strong commercial/business acumen

  • The ability to interface at all levels and particularly to win the respect of the Partner community

  • High energy individual who enjoys both the operational and strategic sides of this role and shows great flexibility
