We are looking for HR and OD professionals who are at the top of their game and who are passionate about developing modern, business focussed solutions, and who are not afraid to challenge and try something new. A great chance to use innovative design methods to create bold, engaging and outcome driven learning experiences, you will help address the capability gaps identified in our workforce strategy. That means driving the design of blended learning solutions, from high-energy workshops and learning events, to online and virtual resources. Along the way, you will work with various teams in our ODP function, as well as across the council, and provide them with sound expertise to improve the learner experience. In summary, you will use your knowledge of design thinking, firm grasp of other modern learning design and delivery approaches and imagination to create compelling learning that challenges the norm.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Educated to degree level, or with experience in a related field (e.g. teaching and learning/solution design/learning and development consultancy) CIPD membership would be useful too. What is for certain is that you have a highly collaborative approach and a track record of co-creating learning solutions with clients and learners for a variety of different audiences. Experience in experiential learning, social learning, content curation and creation (authoring online content), interaction design, (learner) user journeys, user experience and piloting/experimenting are also ‘must haves’. In addition, you will need to be used to managing learning management systems/learning content platforms or any other learning technology solution to improve learner engagement, and have a genuine interest in how technology advances can really benefit the learning experience in organisations.
