A leading global law firm is looking for an HR Manager to support their trainee population, covering a period of maternity leave. You will manage a small team and be responsible for any trainee related matters including development, performance, successful qualification and broader pastoral care.
Responsibilities
Facilitation of processes for the development & successful qualification of trainee solicitors including induction, seat planning, performance and development
Oversight of seat allocation, international seat assessment processes and client secondments
Managing the qualification process and working with Partners and International offices regarding vacancies for qualified trainees
Facilitating trainee performance development meetings
Overall responsibility for managing ER issues for trainees including:
Oversee all England and Wales training contracts for international trainees
Recruitment responsibilities including interviewing for vacation schemes and training contracts, attendance at recruitment and student events.
Managing relevant budgets on a monthly basis and planning the relevant annual budgets
Management & development of HR team for Trainees
Regulatory responsibilities including leasing with the SRA on registration processes and regulatory updates
Requirements:
Graduate qualification with CIPD or similar certification
Will have worked successfully as an HR practitioner in a finance, professional services, consultancy or law firm
Experience of working with a trainee population in a law firm highly desirable
Excellent track record of working with senior management within a complex international organisation
Evidence of successful interface with stakeholders at all levels and ability to win the respect of the Partner community
Graduate qualification with CIPD or similar certification
