Head of Shared Services

My client are one of the largest Oil & Gas companies. They are currently looking for an HR Shared Services Team Lead to join them on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering support services to the HR Business Partner and the wider business. You will also be responsible for the management, development and operation of HR.

This is a new long term role that will in first instance support design and set up of HR Services delivery, take forward the operationalising of HR services, line managing a Tier 2 specialists who process change requests within Foundational processes.

Key duties:

  • Providing excellent customer service to senior stakeholders in order to increase customer satisfaction

  • Manage, motivate and monitor the wider team to ensure business objectives are met

  • Oversee employee development and performance management through monthly one to ones, and yearly objective setting

  • Carry out the full range of HR administrative processes including those related to recruitment and selection, on-boarding and terminations, contractual variations, sickness absence, and benefit schemes

  • Optimise the use of the HR system to ensure efficient production of HR data and management information

  • Monitor service levels, manage on ground operations, respond to service demands as they arise and conduct foundational team quality activities.

Key skills/Experience:

  • Shared service experience

  • Experience of managing the delivery of a service

  • Used to handling sensitive information

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present information

  • Experience of writing reports on a HRS or similar database

  • Project management experience
