Salary from £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) plus an excellent benefits package including £5,500 car allowance, private healthcare, an on target bonus of 18%, 27.5 days annual leave and pension

About the role

The Royal Mail Senior Recruitment Manager – Permanent Recruitment is responsible for all Royal Mail’s permanent internal and external hiring nationally. Managing a team of circa 50 recruiters you will be responsible for volume recruitment (including all our posties!) as well as our managerial and early talent recruitment. You will report to the Head of Resourcing for Royal Mail and partner closely with both Operational Leaders and HR People Leaders.

•    Provide leadership, support and vision to the permanent recruitment team and coordinate company-wide recruiting and talent acquisition activities that align with Royal Mail’s company-wide strategies.
•    Build and lead a strategically focused recruiting team that works effectively, collaboratively and creatively with individuals and teams throughout the organization providing pools of talent that continue to raise the bar within the organization.
•    Responsible for the design and delivery of the employee experience from attraction through to offer and acceptance.
•    Implement staffing strategies that will ultimately improve the recruitment process as well as attract an industry leading level of talent.
•    Develop and market a consistent approach to communicating Royal Mail’s employment brand.
•    Working with our Recruitment Advertising partner to develop creative and cost effective approaches for sourcing and selection that generate a pipeline of highly desirable and diverse candidates using emerging tools and online resources.
•    Ensure all supporting technologies are fit for purpose, cost effective and leveraged nationally.
•    Refine and manage consistent recruiting, interviewing and hiring processes that support a highly positive candidate experience and talent acquisition/hiring manager efficiencies.
•    Identify and evaluate trends on recruiting, including local conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans to respond quickly to these trends.
•    Deliver a best in class recruiting experience for line managers, employees and candidates.
 
About you

You will be a professional recruitment manager with experience of managing an in-house team. Your strong influencing and communication skills will ensure that you not only lead with purpose but instil confidence in your customers that you and your team will deliver. As the pace is fast you will need to be a dynamic self-starter, able to work in a constantly changing and growing environment.

You will have driven change, preferably within a unionised environment and will certainly have extensive experience of recruitment technologies and working with third party providers of recruitment services.
