My client is a global Fintech business based in Central London who are partnering with Oakleaf to hire an ER Adviser. This role has been created due to internal progression and will work within a small team reporting into an ER lead. The role of an ER adviser is to partner with HR colleagues in Centres of Expertise and HR Operations to resolve ER cases, deliver solutions that meet desired business outcomes, minimises risk, and upholds the values of the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include;
To act as first point of contact for ER queries.
Advise and manage the end to end process for allocated ER cases, focussing on performance and absence management.
Conduct research for policy development, and develop the first draft of global people policies.
Manage staff exits from the business.
Advise managers on policy in line with current legislation and drives consistent application of policy and procedure, escalating issues as appropriate.
Champion areas of expertise, keeping wider HR team up to date with changes in best practice, statutory changes and process improvement
Input and maintain record of cases within case management system.
Candidates will have experience of independently managing ER cases including projects surrounding M&A activity. Preferably candidates will have an understanding of USA and APAC legislation and exposure to working with both internal and external legal counsel.
