At a time of significant change at the University, we are currently recruiting a number of exciting new opportunities within our HR department.  HR has recently formed three new Areas of Expertise to support our HR Delivery function; Reward, Benefits and Performance, Talent and Development and Strategic HR (Employee Relations & Engagement).  If you are looking for a new opportunity to work within relatively new areas of expertise during a period of significant change and are motivated by a values driven culture, then one of these roles could be what you are looking for.

We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Adviser to join our Strategic HR (Employee Relations & Engagement) Area of Expertise.

In this fast-paced role, you will provide expert industrial relations advice and guidance to colleagues within HR and build effective working relationships with trade unions in the context of major change across the University.  A key aspect of the role will be to progress agreed actions arising from union negotiations, therefore you will have an organised and pro-active approach.
You will be an HR professional with experience of transformational change, working with trade unions and working with highly confidential information in a consultation/negotiation setting.  You will have excellent communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail and you will possess a high level of personal integrity and resilience. A strong team player, you will need to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
