As part of the Recruitment team, the Specialist will deliver an effective and efficient resourcing service for the firm, including designing of resourcing campaigns, sourcing and selection of candidates, management of offers, client management and evaluation of the recruitment process.
Your remit will be to deliver a full end to end recruitment process across dedicated legal practice areas and Business Services functions. This will naturally involve building excellent relationships with hiring managers and strong stakeholder management. You will work closely with the team leaders, and Senior HR Managers and fellow Recruiters on projects, policies and operational needs.
Key responsibilities will be split into the following:
Responsible for managing the end to end recruitment process for the relevant Practice Areas or Business Services functions, for an excellent service delivery;
Work closely with colleagues in the Recruitment team, to manage high volume of activity, in a timely fashion, using processes effectively; focused upon a minimum of 70% direct sourcing;
Understand your key deliverables and metrics, to ensure that details of the process and outputs can be measured and reported on as necessary;
Respond to a range of queries and carry out more complex procedures;
Continually monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's processes and suggest/implement improvements;
Maintain specialist knowledge by keeping up to date with developments in policy or regulatory changes.
Work with the team leaders and Senior HR Managers to develop and manage strong relations with internal and external stakeholders to the advantage of the business and the HR department;
Influence at all levels to ensure the balance of best practice and the needs of the firm are met;
Deal with Partners, Managers and employees to resolve complex queries or carry out requests within scope of the role;
Provide Partners and Managers with professional direction and guidance enabling them to manage recruitment more effectively;
Manage 3rd party relationships and the Agency PSL;
Share information, advice and expert knowledge with other team members;
Coach recruiting Managers and Partners in best practice;
Engage with potential, passive and active candidates on a daily basis;
Interview alongside hiring managers regularly.
Assist in developing and delivering the strategic aims and objectives of the Recruitment team in accordance with the HR and firm strategy;
Take a holistic approach to reviewing processes regularly and where appropriate design and implement changes;
Drive forward a number of Resourcing Projects as allocated in tandem to BAU recruitment;
Liaise with external bodies, the team leads and Senior HR Managers to keep abreast of market knowledge and to understand the impact of changes in policy or regulation;
Liaise with Business Services function regarding future requirements and headcount plans to work proactively.
You will be highly client focused with strong influencing, communication and team working skills.
You will be PC literate and ideally have experience of e-Recruitment tools and social sourcing platforms.
You will be an accurate worker with high attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
You will have experience ideally gained within a professional services firm, or within an agency recruiting fee-earners/professional services staff. Experience of recruiting fee-earners would be an advantage.
You will have had experience of sourcing candidates directly through social media and relevant job boards.
You will have had experience of interviewing candidates and administering assessments.
You will have had experience in using your judgement to provide solutions to complex problems.
You will have sound knowledge of Legal Recruitment.
You will ideally have a full understanding of a professional services environment.
