My client, a boutique law firm based in central London, is looking for an HR Manager to join their team for a 12 month contract. This is a newly created role (in an existing team of 3) and could potentially extend after the initial contract period.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Manager will be responsible for an employee group of around 100 individuals providing support and advice to both fee-earning and support departments on both strategic and operational matters with a particular focus on employee relations, interpreting policy performance management and talent management.
In this role you will be the face of HR in an internal, client facing capacity. You'll need to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within the organisation, coaching leaders and managers to ensure effective people management.
You will work with key stakeholders across the business from Head of Legal Support to Head of HR and Chief Executive in realising the HR vision and rolling out initiatives and projects throughout the contract. This will additionally include; managing recruitment for fee earners and support staff, supporting with the annual salary review and benefit renewal plus developing a new talent management approach.
To be considered for this position you will need to show a strong working knowledge and understanding of HR legislation, strong communication skills and be a team player.
The working environment is complex therefore working with an element of ambiguity and proactivity is key to ensure HR is moving in the right direction.
Ideally you will have worked in a Partnership environment and be familiar with the legal sector.
