Exciting senior appointment with global services business, headquartered in the US with operations worldwide this is a truly global role. As Global Head of Payroll you will be responsible for setting the strategy for the delivery of payroll services for c50,000+. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of payroll globally including regular review of payroll vendor relationships for 40 countries. You will also act as subject matter and industry expert on global payroll administration.
Leading a team of experienced payroll managers across EMEA, APAC & US. You will be responsible for resource allocation across the teams and ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget. You will set the strategy on how work is integrated across teams and functional areas and that the work produced meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards. You will also ensure global/regional implementation and administration of payroll policies and procedures follow organisational and relevant laws, policies and regulations. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and approving all master payroll calendars, processing schedules and the timely and accurate delivery of pay to 55,000 employees.
In addition you will address payroll issues escalated by regional payroll group managers, lead the development of reports for presentation to global and stakeholder management on identified issues, errors and inefficiencies, Review internal and external proposals on payroll design, potential new components to be evaluated and existing components to be assessed, Uses broad knowledge of the field and best practice solutions to approve or adjust proposals, Leads the regional teams in implementing changes, Acts as the subject matter expert as the company moves from an on premise HR platform to a cloud solution, Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
You will have a Degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting) or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant experience within large scale global payroll management. CPP or equivalent designation is preferred
