Oakleaf Partnership are currently working with large public body who are looking to appoint an Apprenticeship Programme Partner on a part time basis to join them on an 18 month FTC. For this role you will be required in the office for 3 full days totalling 21 hours per week. This is a newly created position to follow on from the strategy developed so far and put into place the apprenticeship programme. The main purpose is to manage the planning, administration, design and delivery of the apprenticeship programme, ensuring the apprenticeship levy is used to optimise the organisation vision and priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • building on an apprenticeship strategy that supports the delivery of our commitments and builds our profile as an employer of choice and meets legal requirements

  • reviewing, mapping and recording with stakeholders the mandatory 20% off the job training for each apprentice

  • creating an excellent on boarding for apprentices and providing direction and governance on planning and allocating roles

  • delivering against our targets for apprenticeships

  • developing our relationship with the National Apprenticeship Service

  • building on our existing work to drive the programme of work to get the scheme up and running including procuring training providers and end point assessors

  • working in partnership with business stakeholders to ensure there is a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities across our business functions

  • supporting managers who take on apprentices with information, advice and guidance where appropriate

  • drafting reports, and preparing statistics on all elements of the programme

  • acting as the go to person for advice and guidance on all matters relating to apprenticeships

  • providing regular MI and reporting on progress and uptake and track our recovery of digital levy funds

  • building relationships with external bodies to engage, attract and resource high calibre talent

To be successful for this position you should have experience of designing and developing apprenticeship schemes at all levers and have a good understanding of the levy and target. You should have experience of managing external supplies and be able to build strong relationships with the business.
