Learning & Development Advisor

A leading international Law firm headquartered in the US are looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join their team. As the Learning & Development Advisor, you will be responsible for providing administrative and organisational support for Learning & Development in London. Liaising with staff at all levels, as the Learning & Development Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Working on all aspects of the lawyer development process, including administering skills and development training programs, overseeing bar and CLE/CPD registration/compliance issues and new associate/trainee induction programmes

  • Coordinating logistics with all offices for training programs, including scheduling, facilities, invitations and materials

  • Regularly reviewing core skills training with the Partner responsible for training/ London Training Committee to evaluate effectiveness

  • Liaising with speakers/facilitators, whether internal or external and providing feedback

  • Ensuring that information regarding training events is accurately recorded on the relevant spread sheets and calendars

  • Assisting with the uploading and preparation of training materials

  • Assisting with preparing and collating signature sheets and evaluation forms, following these up with additional post-training reviews

  • Preparing the monthly PD/Training report

  • Attending Training Committee, Associate Committee and Professional Development Committee meetings

  • Reporting associate/trainee participation on training events for the purposes of associate/trainee appraisals

  • Ensuring all training records for qualified lawyers are received and uploaded to the LMS

  • Overseeing attorney registration process compliance and follow up with attorneys as required

  • Managing the attorney qualification process in respect of QLTS

  • Enrolling lawyers and business support staff as required in refresher courses

  • Maintaining and improving processes, procedures and forms

  • Assisting with producing training brochures

  • Handling additional related projects as assigned

As the Learning & Development Advisor, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a Professional/Learning & Development role, ideally within a law firm environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

  • A positive 'can-do' attitude and excellent attention to details

  • Flexibility to evolve with the position as required
