An Employee Relations specialist is required in Chester to head up a new team and manage ER across the UK and European market.

You will work for a global matrix organisation who strive to better the lives of their customers through research and innovation. Having successfully transformed their HR structure in the United States to focus on specialist centralised divisions, they are now replicating this in their other geographical regions. As part of this transformation project Employee Relations will become a separate service line.

As the Head of Employee Relations for this region, you will report into the Global ER Lead and be responsible for strategy design and operational output for your team. You will be able to identify trends and offer effective solutions with a deep understanding of ER in each of the European countries under your jurisdiction.

This is an opportunity to shape a new specialist function within a multi-national organisation.

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Broad exposure to Employee Relations within a HR team (ideally as a specialist) in the UK and Europe. Please note, international experience is vital to this role.
  • CIPD qualification
  • Expert employment law knowledge
  • Experience of direct line management, c.5-10 employees minimum with the ability to manage remotely
  • Track record of working within large matrix organisations
  • Experience leading within a similar structure (specialist divisions)
  • Ideally, with a working knowledge of IR and experience within unionised environments
  • Ability to manage relationships with senior and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing change
