HR Assistant - Graduate Recruitment & Trainees - Legal

A leading international Law firm are recruiting for an HR Assistant to join their team. Reporting into the HR Manager this role will be responsible for providing administrative and client-facing support to the Graduate Recruitment and HR for Trainees teams.

Responsibilities of the HR Assistant will include (but not be limited to):

  • Oversight of open days for prospective vacation programme and training contract candidates

  • Supporting with various marketing activities including social media presence and on-campus campaigns

  • Responsible for researching, ordering and distributing all graduate branded merchandise

  • Owning and developing relationships with universities, including budgetary responsibility on behalf of the firm

  • Attending on-campus events including law fairs, skills events and presentations

  • Screening online open day, vacation programme and training contract applications

  • Running assessment days during interview seasons and acting as a key point of contact for applicants and assessors

  • Planning and coordinating the trainee, NQ and international secondee inductions

  • Organising various events for future trainees and current trainees

  • Working with HR specialist providing support throughout the secondment process, including event organisation and liaising with international offices

  • Supervising the maintenance of trainee training records in line with SRA guidelines

  • Responsible for managing the SRA admissions process for trainees due to qualify

  • Meeting with trainees to discuss seat planning preferences, secondment outcomes and exit interviews with those leaving the firm

  • Ensuring trainees meet contentious experience requirements

  • Acting as key point of contact in the London office for general HR queries from trainees

As the HR Assistant for Graduate Recruitment & Trainees, you will possess:

  • Excellent organisational and administration skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Pro-active and flexible approach to work

  • Previous recruitment and/or HR Admin experience

  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships

  • Ability to identify and evaluate problems and demonstrate ability to approach and tackle problems effectively

  • Competent in Microsoft Office
