The role of HR Business Partner will allow you to make a real impact and develop your career in a highly supportive environment. You will report into one of one of the five Heads of HR, and provide an effective solutions focused HR service for a particular Faculty/Faculties or the Professional Services Divisions.
Working alongside the Head of HR, you will work proactively to develop and implement local strategies for recruitment, retention, engagement and development of people in line with the Faculties / Professional Services Divisions strategies. Through collaboration with both the line managers and a number of the central HR teams, you will plan and implement initiatives within the Faculties / Divisions in areas such as training and development plans, improving the diversity of senior roles, and embedding a culture of well-being.
You will work with line managers to support with appraisals, job evaluations and organisational change; alongside advising on the consistent application of HR procedures and policies. You will also have the opportunity to participate in working groups and undertake project work to support both local and central HR strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience acquired in a strategic HR Business Partner (or similar) role, gained within a complex organisation. You will have experience of workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management, with a focus on improving the engagement and retention of people. Experience of developing and implementing an HR strategy with demonstrable evidence of the subsequent positive changes is also essential.
With proven ability to influence at a senior level, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with both the central and local HR teams, helping all individuals to feel that they are part of one team. Your credibility, tenacity and resilience in the face of challenging situations will be underpinned by your sound judgement and confidence to make significant decisions.
