My client, a family run Events and Publishing business based in central London are currently seeking a HR Advisor to join the team!
They are looking for someone with 3 years HR experience to provide a proactive HR training for managers and staff, in order to meet the needs of the business and overall strategy.
Implement HR strategies, policies and procedures in line with employment law and to support the overall business strategy.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are adequately implemented and advise managers and staff in their application.
Work with the Group Finance Director to produce Year End reporting (i.e. P11ds, distribute P60s etc.)
Arrange for new starters to join the current Pension scheme.
Manage and administer the Edenred Childcare Voucher scheme.
Manage the Private Medical Insurance scheme monthly. In conjunction with the Group Financial Director conduct an annual renewal of the scheme, advise staff of any changes and process dependents costs through the payroll accordingly.
Advise staff of any changes and in liaison with Accounts process dependents costs through the payroll accordingly (Yearly, October).
Advise staff of any annual pay rises and bonus payments.
Maintain and develop the online attendance system, monitor both short and long-term absence across the business and advise managers on how to manage any absence-related issues.
Provide advice to staff on parental policies, process and document parental absences.
Conduct exit interviews with all voluntary leavers, analyse and act on results.
Coach managers to recruit fairly and effectively and monitor their performance.
Manage the induction process for new starters and conduct an HR induction on their first day.
Manage the probation process for new starters, confirm appointments and/or advise managers on how to extend probation periods or manage poor performance.
Monitor the appraisal process, ensure appraisals are completed on time and maintain appraisal records on the HR database.
Produce and distribute employment documentation including offer letters and contracts for new starters, contract variation letters, end of probation letters, leavers' letters and annual salary increase letters.
Graduate Member of the CIPD (or in advanced stages of the qualification).
At least 3 years solid generalist HR experience, preferably with some payroll experience.
Excellent knowledge of employment law
High credibility operating and communicating at all levels of the organisation
Strong influencing and coaching skills, with the ability to develop line managers
Strong problem solving and communication skills
