Director of Workforce
Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is a multiple award-winning Trust providing local, regional and national healthcare services. We are one of the largest employers in North London, with over 3,000 staff providing a range of mental health and community services to a population of over one million. Our focus for the next period will be to maximise the benefits and quality improvements for staff and service users from a major redevelopment programme and to drive the next phase of our cultural transformation, ensuring that our values of Compassion, Respect, Being Positive and Working Together are embedded at the very heart of our operations.
We have recently appointed a new CEO and she is looking to build her senior team with a number of key appointments, including a Director of Workforce, who will play a pivotal role in our organisation and journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will contribute to a broad corporate portfolio and deliver strategic value to decision making around people matters and provide proactive, business-focused solutions that are data driven. Leading a strong team of HR professionals, you will continue to develop a positive culture for BEH, drive a high level of engagement across our 3,000 workforce and ensure our purpose and values are lived throughout the organisation. You will also significantly contribute to plans that will help transform the NHS workforce for a sustainable future by collaborating widely in our STP.
This is an exciting and challenging role, which requires an exceptional individual with an excellent track record in strategic and operational HR roles. You will be an established senior leader who is accustomed to working with executives and have significant experience of leading complex organisational and workforce change in a multi-professional, multi-stakeholder environment. Your excellent relationship management skills will mean you build credibility quickly and can foster strong alliances both inside the organisation and across a diverse group of external stakeholders. NHS experience is highly desirable, and you must bring a passion for improving our population’s health and well-being.
Applicants should send across a CV & Cover Letter as well as copy of the Equal Ops and Fit and Proper Persons form, attached.
