With over 550 professionals in the UK, our Human Capital practice is renowned for providing distinctive depth and breadth of HR and organisation transformation services to clients undertaking complex major programmes.  Human Capital sits alongside Technology and Strategy and Operations as one of three Competencies in Consulting at Deloitte. 

 

Human Capital includes three Service Areas focused on HR Transformation and Applications, an Actuarial and Pensions practice and a Service Area focused specifically on helping our clients identify, manage and solve the people issues that accompany major transformation and/or cause businesses to perform below their potential.  Called Organisation Transformation and Talent (OT&T), our practice brings together specialist expertise in project and programme leadership, change management and cultural change, organisational design, technology adoption, capital programme delivery, leadership, talent, learning and reward.  We deploy these capabilities individually or, more commonly, in a blend as part of supporting major transformation programmes.

 

Our Public Sector Presence
Our Public Sector practice has a strong and growing presence across Central and Local & Regional Government. We help our clients to deliver complex, business-critical engagements across all parts of the Public Sector including Defence and Security, Health and Social Care, Transport, Education, Welfare and Justice.  Our strong relationships and the depth and breadth of our skills mean that we have been at the heart of some of the biggest and most ambitious programmes undertaken across government and local public services.  We are a highly ambitious team, growing strongly and at the forefront of thinking of new issues around public management, such as the ‘Future of Work’, AI, Robotics and digital.

Role description

The Digital Enablement team within Human Capital’s Organisation Transformation and Talent practice works with clients to deliver the people change associated with technology and digital-enabled business transformation.

 

We provide our clients with the advice and delivery support that they need throughout the entire cycle of their technology and digital transformation programmes. Whether it is assessing, planning, supporting, managing, or delivering business change solutions, we need the very best people to join us and strengthen our team even further.

 

As a Manager in Digital Enablement, you will lead elements of the planning, scoping and delivery of technology and digital transformation projects across the public sector working in multi-disciplinary teams. This includes: developing change strategies, benefits realisation, stakeholder engagement and management, communications, change impact analysis, business readiness and deployment planning, and training needs assessment, development and delivery.  

 

Location

The base location is London. The role may involve travel, working in different areas of the UK and potentially overseas.

 

Hours

This is a permanent role.

 

Responsibilities

Managers are key members of any client facing team, and are responsible for leading the delivery of high quality client work, business development and practice development.

 

As a Manager you will have responsibility for:

  • Delivering complex organisation transformation programmes and change solutions for clients
  • Understanding and anticipating client needs based on a strong understanding of organisation transformation and business change, developing strong client relationships
  • Managing and leading teams’ effective analysis of data, identification of issues; creating and testing hypotheses and developing and communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Guiding teams in selecting and applying the most appropriate tools, techniques and approaches to deliver client work
  • Supporting, managing and leading team members
  • Developing work plans for engagements and producing exceptional deliverables for clients
  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them and a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
  • Leading business development work, including the preparation of bids and proposals
  • Taking a lead role in the development and growth of the Digital Enablement practice

 

 

Digital Enablement specific responsibilities

  • Delivering and leading end-to-end business change for technology and digital programmes including:
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Communication planning and delivery
  • End user training needs analysis, training development and delivery
  • User on-boarding and adoption planning and support
  • Capability building in the client team
  • Supporting and leading elements of the transformation of business processes and functions including HR, finance, procurement
  • Delivering change management in waterfall, agile and hybrid agile programmes
  • Developing user journeys and user stories
  • Building credibility with operational teams
  • Working across a range of technologies e.g. Workday, Oracle, SAP, Success Factors, Ariba, Microsoft Suite, Robotics and AI as well as bespoke digital applications
  • Assessing the people impacts of technology and digital change
  • Measuring the success of change programmes through the use of analytics
  • Leading the development of innovative approaches and ideas

 

Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Experience of managing or leading delivery of business change in technology and digital transformation in an industry or consulting team-oriented environment
  • Proven experience in multiple organisational change management approaches, including leadership alignment, stakeholder identification and analysis, detailed change impact assessment, end-user training needs assessment, and developing and executing organisational change management plans and end-user training
  • Experience leading change management for major digital and technology implementations, such as, SAP or Oracle and/or cloud-based applications, such as, Workday or Salesforce.com;
  • Experience and knowledge of working in the Public Sector
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments, ideally in both waterfall and agile/hybrid-agile approaches
  • Experience of managing client relationships, including previous consulting experience strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and data analysis skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity
  • Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to look at the bigger picture as well as have a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to balance logic and analytical thinking with empathy
  • Ability to handle multiple, conflicting deadlines without letting the quality of work suffer
