Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist - 18 Month contract - Banking - Cannon St

My client is a leading name within financial services.

They are currently in pursuit of a Payroll Specialist to join their business on an 18 month contract.

To be considered successful, the ideal candidate must have -

  • solid payroll administrative experience - ideally within financial services

  • excellent communication and time management skills

  • ability to work with a sence of urgency and high level of initiative

  • intermediate to advanced Excel

Exposure to PeopleSoft and/or Workday will be highly regarded, but not essential.

This role will involve -

  • payroll input of new hires, leavers, leave of absence, overtime, tax forms, bonuses, SAYE, GAYE, court orders, flexible benefits

  • calculation of statutory deductions including Tax, NIC, SMP, SPP, SSP, SPL

  • calculation of pro rata salary payments/deductions, per diems, holiday pay, part time adjustments

  • dealing with employee queries, paper payslips

  • assisting with month end processes including finance GL file, distribution of payslips and employee correspondence

  • providing general administrative support to the Reward team
