Resource Management is a key function in professional services firms like KPMG but also in large corporate organisations. It ensures that organisations have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time.
At KPMG, Resourcing is a critical and high-profile service provider within our business. Working closely with our Capability groups (Audit, Tax and Advisory) and Human Resources, Resourcing ensures the effective utilisation and development of on and offshore resource. Its responsibilities range from workforce planning and headcount management to resource deployment and career development.
Effective Resourcing contributes significantly to KPMG delivering its business performance but also plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfil their career ambitions.
We are a national team of 100+ resourcing specialists based in London and spread throughout key UK cities.
A career in Resourcing provides the opportunity to gain a broad view of the many areas within KPMG and learn a variety of skills. Indeed, due to its impact on business performance, the Resourcing team work closely with business managers and Operations and Finance teams. Resourcing team members will also work very closely with the HR, Recruitment and Learning and Development teams on all people related matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an E Grade within the Resourcing team you will be required to support service line resourcing across the business. Operationally this may involve:
- Staff Planning and Resourcing
- Global Mobility
- Management Reporting
- People Management
- Headcount Forecasting
You will also be required to support Resourcing projects and drive change within the function. This will involve working closely with HR and local Performance Leaders to understand the wider business strategy.
People Management plays a large role in Resourcing and responsibilities will include identifying career learning and development opportunities for employees, balancing development goals with business need and reviewing the inbound recruitment pipeline in line with the firm’s work force planning strategy.
We are recruiting an E Grade to join the RM team within Risk Consulting, specifically within the Internal Audits Risk and Compliance practice (IARCS). The successful candidate will work across all the service lines within IARCS, building relationships with business managers and client facing delivery staff so that as a team we can bring the right skills to match client demand at the optimal moment. Supported and mentored by a lead RM and the Risk Consulting RM team the successful candidate will demonstrate intelligence, resourcefulness and a goal focussed approach to achieve the results the business expects.
Progression within RM is attainable right through to Director level, and the breadth and scale of the firm allows ample opportunity to move, learn and develop a full Resource Management career within our diverse and exciting business.
- Evidence of relationship management and communications skills by demonstrating the ability to build relationships with members of staff
