Interim Senior L&D Manager

This role reports directly to the Head of HR Operations and is responsible for the L&D agenda and strategy across the organisation.

As an Interim Senior Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Leadership of the learning and development team through provision of support, guidance and coaching to team members
  • Delivery of the learning and development strategy including the operational plan, for all business areas
  • Working closely with the HR Director, ensure leadership development, career pathways and routes to entry are effective and in line with the cultural principles
  • Responsible for the programmes for trainees, vacation scheme, apprentices, and work experience
  • Ensure that training & development activities fully support CPD requirements in line with SRA frameworks
  • Ownership of the online Learning Management System including supplier relationship and content management, using both outsourced and in-house approaches
  • Ongoing review and development in the use of learning technologies
  • Identify, develop and manage approved external suppliers to support the development and delivery of learning and development interventions
  • Work with the HR Systems & Data Project Manager to produce L&D management information
  • Management of the overall learning and development budget


You will be:

* Experienced and successful leader of people in L&D environment
* Excellent organisation and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Experienced of using L & D psychometric tools such as Social Styles, learning styles etc,
* Organised and able to handle multiple demands and deadlines simultaneously
* Highly credible and seen as the go to person for L&D expertise within the organisation
* Able to be flexible in terms of a changing environment and changing workload
* Highly PC literate with strong systems skills ideally including working experience in the use of a Learning Management System
* Experience of understanding, setting and managing budgets in a commercial environment

Job Offer

£300-£400 day rate
