ER Advisor

My client is a leading, global insurance firm based in Liverpool, looking to recruit an ER Advisor on a 12 month fixed term basis due to sickness absence. This person will be heavily involved in providing ER case management service to the business and supporting leaders in the effective management of their people.


More specifically, this person will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Advising and coaching leaders on the implementation of HR practices/procedures relating to absence, LTS, performance, disciplinary, grievance etc. to enable effective resolution of people issues
  • Providing a customer focused service to leaders across the business through building effective working relationships and delivering on commitments
  • Advising HR Business Partnering teams on the appropriate implementation of Compromise & Settlement Agreements in line with requirements
  • Maintaining up to date case management system
  • Maintaining awareness of current accredited DAW Advisors and disciplinary accredited leaders
  • Using and contributing to relevant/required MI to identify and inform appropriate people interventions
  • Providing support to Senior HR Advisors on the delivery of interventions to leaders to enable effective management of their people e.g. webinars
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement and development of the HR Advice Team's service

Ideally this person will:

  • Have previous experience of working within a professional HR environment and a good understanding of Employment Law
  • Have good knowledge of SAP HR
  • Have experience of providing best practice guidance and advice on HR policy, process or practice to line managers and leaders up to executive level
  • CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification ideally (or equivalent)
  • Be proficient at building effective relationships and communicating effectively
  • Be comfortable delivering results and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding HR data
