A top international law firm based in The City are recruiting for a Graduate Recruitment & Development Advisor to join their team. As the Graduate Recruitment & Development Advisor, you will assume day-to-day ownership for the Trainee Solicitor Development Programme. You will be the primary contact for trainees and will work with the partners and legal staff on all trainee related matters to include HR and development issues. As the Graduate Recruitment and Development Advisor you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Identifying future trainee requirements

  • Overseeing new trainee induction processes

  • Conducting new trainee meetings and addressing any issues

  • Providing advice and guidance to trainee supervisors on managing performance and identifying training needs

  • Managing the collection and collation of end of seat feedback

  • Working closely with client groups and trainees to facilitate and monitor end of seat performance review process

  • Managing the seat allocation process

  • Meeting trainees every six months to discuss seat preferences, career ambitions and providing relevant guidance

  • Overseeing delivery of workgroup seat change presentations

  • Dealing with general welfare queries and providing advice and information on the internal and external sources of support available

  • Providing advice and guidance on employee relations issues

  • Liaising with L&D team to ensure courses are consistent with the firm's practice areas

  • Overseeing management of the trainee intranet site

  • Managing the partner mentor programme and the allocation of trainees

  • Managing the selection of trainees for client and International secondment

As the Graduate Recruitment & Development Advisor, you will possess:

  • Solid experience working in a professional services environment at advisor level

  • Strong knowledge of the SRA's trainee solicitor programme regulations

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent attention to detail
