Learning & Development Advisor

A leading global law firm are looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join their team. Reporting into the Learning & Development Manager, this role will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Programme managing on a number of projects involving the design, content and delivery of these programmes

  • Managing the relationship with relevant members of the Training Events team to ensure the effective organisation, delivery and follow up of all programmes

  • Taking a lead role in the design and delivery of elearning as either stand alone learning or in support of a blended approach to development programmes, working with internal colleagues and external providers

  • Project managing programmes to support other members of the team in designing the content and materials, briefing and managing relationships with external providers, working with the Trainings Events team to oversee logistics to ensure smooth running of programmes

  • Building relationships across the global network with key stakeholders and line managers to cover key information on programmes and new developments and to respond to their queries

  • Creating and maintaining key documents, frameworks, materials and intranet sites as required

  • Adding, refreshing and updating programmes as necessary to ensure continuous improvement and to reflect changing priorities and in response to feedback

  • Ensuring programmes have defined learning objectives

  • Supporting the identification and selection of training providers to ensure they are providing the highest quality of programme

  • Working with internal experts to develop content and run sessions on programmes

  • Delivering value for money on all programmes and setting budgets

  • Matching demand to supply and ensuring the appropriate number of programmes are delivered where and when required

  • Managing key systems, intranet and databases that support global standards

As the Learning and Development Advisor, you will possess:

  • Experience of designing and delivering skills programmes and implementing changes to existing programmes

  • Experience of training delivery and facilitation

  • Working at all levels within the organisation and managing different expectations

  • Good knowledge of elearning tools, resources and providers

  • Negotiating and influencing skills

  • Project management experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must have previous training and delivery experience and a track record of working to design and implement successful elearning and classroom programmes

  • Must have previous experience in either a Financial or Professional services environment
