Client Details

An international logistics and distribution company with over $20b turn over. They are undergoing a large transformation, culturally and with business expansion throughout the region and looking to add to the HR team as they see it as a big focus moving forward.

Description

  • To ensure that all matters relating to Human Resources are at all times conducted in accordance with legislative requirements, Company procedures, and any recognised local agreements that are in place
  • To take a collaborative and coaching approach to ensure that relevant employees and managers are fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations when dealing with HR matters, and that any non-compliance is identified and speedily resolved
  • To work with the UK HR Teams to ensure that all record systems and documentation are accurate, up-to-date and processed within the requisite timescales
  • To provide guidance and support in recruitment processes, to ensure that the most appropriate candidates are selected and retained, working collaboratively with the central Resourcing team
  • To ensure that all matters relating to discipline and grievances are handled in accordance with legislative,
  • Company requirements and recognised local agreements; and to participate in the management of such matters as appropriate, recognising the potential need for commerciality in certain cases
  • To support the operation of the Company's performance management and development processes, and to liaise with the Training and Development function to ensure that training requirements are fulfilled
  • To undertake or support HR-related projects
  • To maintain working relationships with any local representative bodies such as Trades Unions and Joint Consultative Committees

Profile

  • CIPD Qualified or working towards qualification
  • Multisite Experience
  • Union Experience
  • Employee and Industrial Relations experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers and trade union representatives
  • Coaching and influencing skills
  • Business/commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • TUPE Experience
  • Good knowledge of Employment Law
