Job: 9 Month Contractual position as a People & Payroll Services Co-ordinator
Based in: Huntingdon
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

Your new company

I am currently supporting a prestigious organisation based in Huntingdon, who are seeking to appoint a People & Payroll Services Co-ordinator on a 9 month contract within the HR team.

Your new role

The purpose of this role is to administer specified policies, procedures and processes within People and Payroll services and to provide a first line response to employee queries.

Update Personal Details on HR Systems 45% of time

  • Process and input starters and movers
  • Update employees personal details
  • Provide information to Line Managers as requested

Produce Contracts of Employment and Pre-employment checks 20% of time

  • Administers all pre-employment checks in a timely and efficient manner ensuring that all requested checks are completed prior to the new starters first day
  • Generates accurate employment contracts, secondment and extension letters and passes to Recruitment Team/HR Business Partners for review within a timely manner

Customer Enquiries 15% of time

  • Knowledge of statutory obligations and ability to calculate accurate payroll deductions
  • Ensure incoming emails are dealt with, within agreed levels of service
  • Respond to customer queries via dedicated telephone helpline
  • Deal with all incoming mail

Parental Policy Administration 5% of time

  • Process applications received and send out literature to employees
  • Update monitoring spreadsheet with key information
  • Ensure administrative procedures are kept up-to-date and relevant to current statutory practice

Other Administration Duties 15% of time

  • TIME Holiday and TIME Overtime management
  • Barclaycard (Travel & Expenses) Administration
  • Expert user of Fraedom Expenses System
  • Audit all Policy Breaches highlighted in Fraedom for Cash & Barclaycard transactions. Audit a sample of transactions for Cash & Barclaycard Expenses to ensure they comply with Expenses Policy
  • Audit a sample of all transactions for Cash & Barclaycard Expenses to ensure they are coded correctly for VAT & Tax purposes
  • Issue 'Love to Shop' vouchers as requested

What you'll need to succeed

  • Educated to GCSE Maths/English Language Grade A-C/NVQ Level 2 in Administration
  • IT proficient - Microsoft applications
  • Understanding of all HR policies and procedures
  • Customer Service and Communications Skills
  • Telephone Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet levels of service
  • Be able to deal with customers' problems and concerns in a helpful and efficient manner
  • Be able to work to a high standard to maintain accurate and complete data
