As Recruitment and Learning Officer, you’ll work across the full recruitment lifecycle, from the on-boarding of new recruits to the gathering of exit data. A key part of your remit will be the management of our Learning Management System (LMS) and Performance Platforms, which will help you to support our people in their on-going learning and professional development journeys.
This will involve scheduling and administering programmes/courses on the LMS, including booking venues, accommodation and logistics, preparing materials and managing pre- and post-course work to enable programmes to run effectively. As at home with reporting as you are with people, you will also prepare and analyse current training and performance activity and gather survey feedback to contribute to evaluations, reports, presentations and other communications. Deputising for the recruitment manager from time-to-time, you’ll also liaise with hiring managers and candidates about job opportunities.
It’s an in-depth, hands-on role that demands excellent planning and project management skills, plus a passion for technology. To succeed, you’ll need a proven track record of success in an HR environment, with a focus on Recruitment, Talent or Learning. You’ll be supporting managers across a variety of departments in all aspects of HR, so a proactive approach, good influencing skills and the ability to cope well under pressure are vital.
A CIPD certificate in HR Practice and a solid working knowledge of employment law would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of using Applicant Tracking, Payroll and Learning Management systems.
