HR Officer

We're currently working with a renowned investment management firm on a superb opportunity for a high potential HR professional.

Joining a highly credible team of two (Head of HR, and HR administrator), you'll work collaboratively on all HR matters, supporting on projects as well as day to day processes. As a new team, there is a lot to do in terms of implementation and improvement, thus a brilliant opportunity for involvement in projects from fruition to inception.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the Head of HR to streamline and improve the firms approach to HR operations, managing HR databases, processing visa applications, holidays, sickness

  • Manage recruitment with accountability for entire hiring processes for certain roles, including job specifications, interviewing candidates, administering referencing processes etc.

  • Assist the Head of HR in development and delivering the firms talent acquisition strategy

  • Aid the Head of HR's efforts to ensure the organisation has a well-administered and attractive benefits offering

  • Assist in joiner and leaver processes, and work with line managers to handle employee lifecycle events

  • Help the Head of HR to shape the firms approach to learning & development, liaising with vendors to arrange training, keep records of feedback and attendance

  • Gather market data in advance of and support the Head of HR in the annual compensation round

  • Assist in setting the values agenda

  • Assist in managing the appraisal and performance processes

The Head of HR has a highly impressive HR career history and has been influential in her time at this firm to date. She has a forward-thinking approach to HR and is an excellent mentor and manager. The person in this role will be encouraged to think on their feet, be solutions driven and creative.

Candidates suitable for this opportunity will:

  • Have an all-round strong education including A Levels and degree

  • Have had experience in an HR generalist position, or have experience on an HR graduate scheme

  • Ideally have experience working within financial services and at least an understanding of the pace and pressured environment

  • Have strong Excel skills
