Learning Management System

A global Accountancy firm are currently looking for a People Development - LMS Manager for a 12 month Fixed Term contract.

Single point of ownership and management for BDO's learning management system, focussed on ensuring that the system is fit for business purpose
Provides a great end user experience, utilises all relevant functionality, responding to feedback from the business
Maintains good data integrity and firm wide compliance.

Clear single point of contact for Saba or other learning management system queries (alongside associated PD team members)
Proactively work with Saba (or other platform provider) to leverage the platform, increase user adoption, identify best practices, and make recommendations to HR LT
Oversee strategic relationship with platform provider as well as related third-party support /courseware vendors. Managing all contracts and make recommendations on products and services
Single point of contact and management for learning technology

Configuration & Systems Management
If and when changes or development of the system is required, the individual will be a driving force behind ensuring the system is built in the right way without compromise or risk to other areas of the platform
Champions the ongoing design, configuration, testing, deployment and end-user training/support for Saba and other related integrated technologies
Focus on continual improvement, innovation and ultimately end-user usage and engagement.
Observing external industry trends and best practices by networking with user groups and community practice groups.
Drives end user usage by listening and responding to the needs of the business and optimisation of functionality.
Drives consistent user experience by developing and maintaining protocols and standards across all learning run through the platform.
Documents current LMS processes, removes duplicative work, and establishes firm wide standards.
Manage ongoing system development alongside project works including performance management, mobile learning and any other HR or business driven projects.
Serve as the LMS SME (alongside PD Ops team), understanding system functionality and configuration options.
Advising the business on opportunities for efficiencies and economies of scale through new and developed functionality within the platform
Ensures the successful utilisation and ongoing development of assigned tools through promotion and communication with the wider business
Review, monitors and provides management information, fundamental for continued adherence to compliance and regulatory requirement.
Assist in the measurement of learning ROI

Team Management (once established)
Manages central LMS (systems) team staff in accordance with the firms policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities may include planning, assigning, supporting work (related to all LMS activity) with other business areas, directing work, appraising performance and guiding professional development.
Oversee LMS team ensuring their tasks are completed effectively, maintaining required standards and SLA's.
Work with LMS team to drive efficiencies in the admin created by the system and its users.

Technical Requirements and Professional Qualifications

Subject matter expert in SABA preferred although knowledge of SABA is acceptable
Experience of developing and using a wide variety of learning frameworks - competency,
development, engagement and talent - Required
Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders to drive through change - preferable
Experience in partnering and procuring with vendors with significant budget responsibility -
Extensive experience of designing a wide range of interventions for broad range of audiences
