Graduate Recruitment & Development Assistant

A leading law firm are looking for a Graduate Recruitment & Development Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Global Resourcing & Development Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the Graduate Resourcing & Development function with all graduate processes and events. This is an excellent opportunity for a good graduate recruitment assistant who has the confidence and ability to interface with people at all levels. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working within a professional services environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Travel to and attend UK law fairs, receptions and general recruitment events. Overnight stays are expected.
  • Attend all Graduate Resourcing & Development social events during vacation schemes and open days
  • Screen applications via an online application system
  • Organising room bookings and set up, booking catering requirements, producing name badges and name cards, finding suitable presenters and organising social events
  • Scheduling interviews, collating interview packs and ensuring interview feedback is received in a timely manner
  • Assist with organising open days, vacations schemes and assessment centres
  • Create offer paperwork and packs
  • Administer reference checking process with HireRight
  • Upload all new joiner details to the relevant HR/Recruitment System
  • Manage induction process
  • Assist with the seat rotation process for trainee solicitors
  • Build relationships with future trainees and current trainees, assisting with basic employee relations issues
  • Ensure supervisors complete all mid-seat and end of seat evaluations
  • Maintain trainee employee files
  • Administer the overseas seat process including visas, work permits, language lessons and process expenses
  • Organise and run diversity work experience programmes

Key skills required:

  • Experience and knowledge of the graduate recruitment market preferably
  • Knowledge of professional services environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Committed team player with a proactive and flexible approach
