My client who is based in Bristol is looking for a HR Advisor to join their team on a 3-month basis, this is a generic HR role encompassing all aspects of HR including investigations and special projects. They are looking for someone who will provide a high quality, customer focussed specialist HR advice and support service to all schools which buy into the service.

To undertake the following activities as part of role and responsibility: -

  • Creating, developing and implementing HR policies and strategies.

  • Advise customers on all aspects of employee relations, giving options on ways forward.

  • Pay and Benefits advice including: School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document, Schools Pay Policy, job evaluation responsibilities and development /advice on associated policies

  • Strategic workforce planning and implementation.

  • Advise panels at Hearings and Appeal Hearings up to an including dismissal.

Provide effective, timely and accurate advice and support for all customers where they request specialist HR information in the following key areas;

  • Employee Relations

  • Resourcing (including advertising, safer recruitment, employee initiatives and redeployment)

  • Employee Life Cycle

  • Special Projects and Change

  • Investigations

  • Job Evaluation

  • Policy development and implementation

To be successful for this role you need to have a good knowledge of employment law and the ability to utilise a variety of communication skills at an advanced level in negotiating, advocating, interviewing, drafting and presenting reports and delivering training/ briefing sessions, involving audiences from all levels in the organisation, to achieve the desired outcomes.
