HR Director (US experience) - UK based - six figure base salary

Our client, a world leader in its specialist sector is looking to recruit a new Group HR Director to work closely with the Board to drive forward their ambitious (yet realistic) growth plans by doubling revenue and EBITDA over the next 3 years. A significant proportion of that growth is likely to come from international acquisitions.

Reporting into the COO, a highly regarded industry leader who truly sees the value in hiring and developing people and "gets" the HR agenda, the opportunity for HR to make a real difference to the success of the organisation cannot be over-emphasised.
From a strategic perspective, you will partner the business' leadership team to achieve the organisation's strategic vision. As a senior team, they are clear about its future growth, desire to be acquisitive and focused on success. Key to achieving this success, is setting a group wide HR strategy and the development of all employees. You'll want to make your mark swiftly!
Leading a small, geographically disparate and highly regarded HR team, you will work to drive enhanced performance and develop and shape talent, capability and engagement solutions which will be key to its success.
You'll be a highly influential, commercially astute, and credible HR professional. You'll be a confident and flexible individual with strong business acumen and will have a successful track record in commercial HR business partnering. You'll be an excellent relationship builder, have a collaborative mindset and have an exceptional focus on the end delivery.
Whilst specific sector experience is not a pre-requisite, experience in healthcare or a related market would be valuable. Strong candidates will however be able to demonstrate a track record of working at speed within fast-paced, service-driven multi-site international environments and having experience of working in the US is essential.
This is a truly international business with a global reach. To maximise your success in your new role, you'll want to be "out and about" meeting leaders, employees and stakeholders at the "coal face". You will need to be comfortable with not insignificant levels of planned international travel.
