A global Law Firm based in London is looking to recruit a new HR Business Partner to join their expanding HR team on a permanent basis. The role is UK based predominantly, but may incorporate global offices over time. The firm has some of the most respected legal minds in their chosen fields across Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and America. The successful candidate will establish and maintain strong working relationships with Partners and Senior Management, whilst understanding their operational needs and business objectives. The candidate will be able to successfully highlight the ways in which HR can have a positive impact on the business and be on hand to manage HR projects as required. Having some partnership experience would be extremely beneficial for your application.
In terms of Employee Relations, the Business Partner will be the point of contact for all ER related issues for the Fee Earning Teams whilst taking ownership of the New Joiner Review process and advising managers on how they are performing in their new positions.
Providing managers with high level coaching and guidance on managing performance
Project managing the annual performance appraisal process
Carrying out the salary review with the HRD, HR Manager and other Partners
Managing disciplinaries and grievances when they arise
Working with the wider HR Team to ensure policies/procedures are adhered to and in line with best practice
Ensuring that leavers remain positive about their experience at the Firm and take away a good image of our culture and values
Working with the HR Manager and other Business Partners to deliver large scale projects such as redundancies, TUPE processes and restructures
The successful candidate will also be required to carry out general duties such as undertaking any ad-hoc duties that arise, providing cover for other BP's and operating the Firm's quality procedures as outlined in the current edition of the Service Standards. They will also have worked before within a professional services environment.
