ER Specialist - VP

A leading global financial services brand is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their centre of excellence ER team on a 12m maternity cover contract.


  • To work in partnership with key stakeholders across, Legal, Audit, Compliance and HR, to advise upon and promote best practice and consistency on managing employee accountability

  • To resolve ER challenges, balancing employment, regulatory, reputational and commercial risks, to maintain a performance based culture

  • Providing advice to HR BP's and Advisors on complex ER issues

  • Management and conduct of ER involvement in HR related internal investigations, including scoping, evidence gathering, data review and analysis and conduct of interviews with employees

  • Delivery of appropriate work product for consideration by relevant stakeholders and disciplinary panels where relevant;

  • Ensuring effective conduct of investigations;

  • Management of global disciplinary and grievance processes to ensure consistency of approach and outcome as well as key stakeholder engagement;

  • Panel member on disciplinary, grievance and redundancy appeals

  • Identify key trends and provide solutions to address these on an ongoing basis


  • Experience of managing complex ER issues in a matrixed organisation

  • Fully understand legal requirements and ER best practice

  • Experience of dealing with all levels of an organisation including senior HR management, senior control functions and senior business management;

  • Issue recognition, investigative, interviewing, analytical and sound judgement skills

  • Excellent communication skills, strong presentation ability and drafting skills, attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
