Principle HR Business Partner

My client, a large Banking organisation are currently looking for an interim Principle HR Business Partner to join the business on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

As a HR Business Partner you will work in partnership with the Associate Director, and other team members to drive and implement operationally excellent HR services to the business in alignment with the overall business strategy. The role is to operate as an all-round HR Generalist supporting across multiple client groups. The reason for the role is due to an influx of work and the intention of the role is that you would not have a dedicated client group, rather you would operate in an agile manner across the BP teams to bolster resources; essentially project-based work of a HR Generalist nature. Client groups are across banking, corporate services and Resident offices, meaning there could potentially be some travel. The role will encompass Talent Management, E.R, Organisational Development and change, Talent Acquisition and Performance Management.


  • Partnering with the business to analyse and interpret business needs, identify trends and work with the Business Partnering team to translate these into HR initiatives.

  • Providing experienced advice and guidance in order to support, influence and challenge the business in the implementation of HR policies and procedures

  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of all HR elements of the employee life cycle.

  • Responsibility for managing, mediating and facilitating sensitive, delicate or problematic employee relations issues.

  • Coaching clients in the development of their people management skills.

  • Collaboratively deciding resource planning measures, succession planning and talent development plans.

  • Providing organisational effectiveness support, including analysing organisational design, developing high performing teams and increasing cooperation between departments.

  • Leading organisational change within the bank by providing change management strategies, stakeholder analysis and defining and implementing communications.
