HR Business Partner

12 month contract

Lake District

£175-£200 per day

My client are a multinational utility business; due to internal movement, they require a HR business partner to join their site in the Lake District for around 12 months.

Reporting into the HR manager, you will be responsible of being the face of HR and being an integral part of the business to ensure they reach their people agenda.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and expertise to business leaders to help manage employees

  • Coach and up-skill people managers on key HR best practice, policies and people management initiatives

  • Provide practical HR advice to line managers on HR matters including application of policy and processes, interpretation of employment legislation, employee engagement and communications

  • Point of contact for employee queries, escalation and/or resolution

  • Liaise with HR central groups to obtain HR specialist services when required

  • Conduct analysis, reporting and develop solutions for leadership team consideration

  • Manage local change initiatives with the guidance of the HR Manager

  • Co-ordinate annual HR processes

  • Lead/support business focused HR projects as necessary


  • Proven Business Partnering experience

  • Understanding of current UK employment law

  • Ability to work in standalone capacity, and collaboratively with a business

  • Ability to balance the interest of the company and the employee

  • Confidence to push back and challenge senior leaders

  • Ability (and ideally previous experience) of delivering HR services across multiple sites

This is a 12 month role, and paid on a daily rate basis.
